Indigenous Mapping Day – August 9! Held in honor of the UN’s International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples

This event , held in conjunction with the UN International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples is supported by the National Congress of American Indians, Google earth outreach, and Google maps.  Find more about the event by clicking here.

I am finding Google earth to be a valuable tool in my consulting and academic work.  It is one way to connect the tools of expression with the hands and minds of the community.
