This collaborative multimedia virtual exhibition integrates subtitled Dane-zaa and English video narratives, interpretive e-text, photographs of the production process, recordings of songs, and contemporary and archival images of traditional lands in order to showcase Dane-zaa culture and address present concerns faced by the community as they negotiate legacies of colonialism and a changing relationship to the land.

The project represents the possibilities of digital media to represent intangible heritage and is an example of applied ethnography facilitating a community-defined process of documentation and self-representation.

Funded by the Virtual Museum of Canada, the Doig River First Nation, the Volkswagen Foundation, North Peace School District #60 and the North East Native Advancing Society.
